Advanced Placement Exam Score Equivalents & Credit

UNM encourages prospective freshmen to take challenging college preparatory courses in high school. College level credit may be awarded by UNM for certain scores on Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams. 

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

The University participates in the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) administered by the College Board. The University of New Mexico grants credit to newly admitted and regularly enrolled (in undergraduate degree status) students who achieve passing scores on the CLEP exams listed.

International Baccalaureate

Students who took International Baccalaureate exams may receive advanced credit for scores in Higher Level and Standard Level exams.
